Responsibilities

The Loan Consultant will report to the Manager of the Expansion Team and will be responsible for meeting lending and business development goals on the Expansion Team.

70% Individual Production:

Successfully disburse a minimum of 7 loans a month, totaling 70,000 in a timely manner (25% of loans should be submitted by the 15th of the month – no more than 50% of loans should be submitted during the last week of the month).

Ensure excellent customer service:

  • Assisting clients during application process in a professional manner
  • Following up with client calls, applications, and emails within 24 hours business day
  • Documenting interaction with the customer entering notes in Salesforce
  • All applications should be withdrawn by 45 days of pulling credit (3 courtesy calls/emails should be completed). There will be no exception to this policy.

20% Business Development Expansion Team:

Goal: Expand the visibility of Ascendus in the community, build strong partnerships, and strengthen image.

Coordinate, Assist and Support Business Development Officers work with the following:

  • Ensure satisfactory Loan Packaging and Quality Control in Salesforce and SharePoint.
  • Familiarize with our Lending Guidelines, Basic Requirements and Lending Products eligibility criteria.
  • Review and assess Credit and Cash Flow and learn on how to spot Red Flags, Fraudulent Practices or Disqualifiers.
  • Business Development Officers manage relationship and any written and verbal communication with their Referral Partners. The loan Consultant will work directly with the clients ONLY AFTER they get properly prescreened and prequalified by the BDOs until loan disbursement.

Conduct in person outreach if needed or via zoom presentations to banks and community partners, follow-up with partners that refer within 48 business hours, follow-up with partners that haven’t referred in a while, identify new partners and opportunities in key areas, leverage clients as partners.  Travel maybe required for conferences or expos.

Provide high level of engagement in workshops, seminars, and panels in cooperation with local community organizations.

10% Technical Assistance

Provide excellent customer service by conducting one on one sessions with clients who need extra help to convert their applications.  Work with community technical assistance partners if further support is needed in the areas of business planning and accounting.  Make sure that all technical assistance support is being tracked in salesforce.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Competitive salary depending on experience.
  • 100% employer paid medical, dental, and vision premiums (savings of $6K – $12K per annum) and a monthly mobile phone stipend of $30.
